About the opportunity

This role is a key element in our Product team working with the wider business and an experienced and talented development team.

This role is part of the existing small team of product specialists. This role has specific responsibility for Hireserve capability and other key modules that complement the ATS. You will own the success of these functions throughout the current portfolio and our future associated products.

You will analyze and refine the future and current functional requirements. Not only will you look to deliver back-office systems but also bring to life additional uses and functionality which leverage these core functions to add value and transform the way recruitment teams work. This role is a translation bridge between the product management “ask” and the development team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tools which not only meet our customers’ needs but go beyond to create competitive advantage.

Importantly, we are also looking for someone who is an exemplar PO who will drive good practice and mentor other team members.


What we need you to do

  • You will be the bridge between Product Management and Development ensuring the commercial business case is translated into genuinely valuable product – always validating against data, with customers, Product Management, and development.
  • Working within an agile development team you will own the enumeration, prioritisation, and delivery of great solutions to meet our customers current and future needs.
  • Working with customers, product managers, other product owners, development, and other stakeholders to clearly understand, document and confirm the needs, processes, and behaviours of all stakeholders. Specifically:
    • Creation & refinement of user stories and provide clarity for the development & QA functions
    • Working with customers and partners to elicit and refine requirements
    • Input into product design & behaviour based on requirements and technologies available
    • Enumeration and validation of requirements with customers and prospects – via interview, special interest groups, POC reviews etc.
    • Working with our QA and customer-facing teams (e.g., Customer Success, Support and Consultancy) to confirm wider user acceptance criteria
    • Validation & “in flight” QA of product in development
    • Liaison with customers, thought leaders & partners as necessary - e.g., in progress development validation + post release feedback
    • Post-implementation support as necessary (e.g., customer support, documentation, training)
    • Ensure the products evolve to meet current and future business needs
    • Working closely with other product owners, product managers and development teams to ensure product alignment and leverage.
    • Assisting Product Management from discovery, go-to-market, and post release insights


About you


  • Ideally, but not essential, you will have worked in recruitment and understand the process and challenges that customers face. This experience may have come from an agency or internal recruitment team’s background.
  • You have been there and done it – you are an experienced Product Owner with a proven history of product delivery via SCRUM methodology. This will preferably be within a Cloud/SaaS orientated business. You will also have with a sound understanding of the full SDLC and product lifecycles.
  • Ability to think laterally; an analytical person – experience in agile development methodologies would be an advantage (ideally as Product Owner)
