We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been nominated for three Workingmums.co.uk Top Employer Awards!

We have been shortlisted for 2 categories – the SME (1- 25 staff) and Family Support awards – whilst Karen has been nominated for the Working Mums Champion award.

The Top Employer Awards celebrate the most progressive, inspiring and innovative approaches to flexible working in businesses large and small. After winning the SME award in 2011 and again in 2014, we are thrilled to be a part of this awards scheme once more.

And, of course, we will be keeping our fingers crossed for a win on the night… 🙂

At first glance, a recruitment software provider and flexible working practices don’t seem to be an immediate pairing. But agile working plays an important role in our day-to-day working culture, not to mention our talent attraction strategy and employee engagement and retention levels.

Technology does make it easier for us to implement flexible working practices than some other organisations, which is something Archana mentioned in a case study for Workingmums.co.uk earlier this year.

Our recruitment software is cloud-based, so can be accessed from anywhere, whilst we all have laptops, phones and a tonne of Dropbox storage which means we can work from home or away (though truth be told, we all really like being with each other in the office).

But flexible working goes far beyond kitting out team members with the right tech. In fact, in our opinion, truly agile working – like that celebrated by the Top Employer Awards – is difficult to define.

It’s not a policy or requirement, but rather a strand of your company’s culture, interwoven between every interaction, decision and attitude in your workplace.

Embedded within Hireserve’s growth strategy from day one, we probably wouldn’t be where we are today without flexible working – and we have no doubt that we would be without some truly fantastic team members.

So, roll on the Workingmums.co.uk Top Employer awards ceremony in November. And please keep your fingers crossed for us!
