In between work, from preparing for iCams release 8.6 to attending an all-day digital marketing event, we managed to make time for two less typical activities this week.

On Wednesday evening we donned our Barbour jackets and flat caps and headed to the country for our late team summer social – a Shoot and Supper event at Oakley Hall.

Sporting luminous ear plugs and some fetching baseball caps, we took to the shooting deck. Skill levels varied… Liam led the way with a 99% success rate, whilst Karen surprised us all by being a natural!

Thursday morning rolled around with something far more suited to my comfort zone – the Macmillan Cancer World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. It is such an important cause, and such a simple way to raise money. Bakes poured in – Lemon Drizzle from Melanie, Baileys Cheesecake from Rob and some items that looked suspiciously shop-bought from the development team…

We opened the doors of our office at 10:30 am. It was one of those mornings filled with chatter, the clink of tea plates and huge generosity; we raised £125.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you to everyone who came and donated.

Next week looks set to be another busy one, as we kick off with the Dutch team flying in on Monday. And once we hit October, with the UNIT4 Conference and iCams Clinic, there’ll be even more to keep us on our toes.

Slice of cake, anyone?
